New train Rakhiv – Valea-Vysheului

This route is of historical importance, it is the first step towards the resumption of traffic (which has not been for 15 years) on the route Rakhiv – Budapest – Bratislava – Prague (via the Valea-Viseului – Satu Mare – Debrecen stations).

On January 18, from the railway station of the Transcarpathian city of Rakhiv, the first train, which was called the “Marmaros Express”, departed to the Romanian city of Valea Vișeului, the route duration is 1 hour and 35 minutes

How will it run. Ukraine (Rakhiv) – Romania (Valya-Visheului).

According to the booking system of Ukrzaliznytsia, trains will run twice a day – in the morning and in the afternoon. Departure from Rakhiv at 6:10 and 14:10, from Vali-Visheului – at 11:45 and 18:15. The schedule of these flights is adjusted to the schedule of other trains from both countries. In Vali-Visheului, passengers will be able to transfer to Romanian trains that run to Cluj-Napoca and Bucharest stations, and 4 trains run to Rakhiv – from Kyiv and one from Odessa and Lviv.

Also, this route will open the possibility of using Romanian airports for air travel (for example, Satu Mare Airport).

R4116 Valea Visheului – Bucharest will depart at 17:16, arriving in Bucharest at 6:35;
IRN1641 return trip from Bucharest at 21:01, arrival in Vali Visheului at 08:52;
R04116 Valea Visheului – Cluj departs at 17:16, arrives at Cluj station at 23:00;
R4110 return route Cluj at 03:35, arrival in Vali Visheului at 08:52.

The ticket price in the first class starts from 300 UAH.
Ticket price in the second class from 181 UAH.

The future of the route.

The route is currently under development. But in the future, not only in international communication with Romania, but also direct communication between the Transcarpathian and Ivano-Frankivsk regions is planned.
At the same time, two communication options have been developed, the direction Uzhgorod – Ivano-Frankivsk, the train will run along the route Uzhgorod – Teresva – the international railway checkpoint “Teresva – Kimpulung la Tisa” – the international railway checkpoint “Business – Valya Vysheului” – Berlebash – Rakhiv – Ivano-Frankivsk.
