Today, the Shikhodnytsia mineral water deposit has 38 springs and 17 wells with different chemical compositions of mineral water, and approximately 25 springs have not yet been explored.

In 1950, local pensioner Omelyan Stotsky began studying the springs in Shikhodnytsia. In 1957, at the request of Omelyan Stotsky, analyses were conducted in the laboratory of the Boryslav Oil and Gas Department, which confirmed that the water belonged to the “Naftusya” type. But only in 1972 did geological exploration begin in Skhidnytsia. During which 17 wells were drilled in search of new deposits and a year later a positive conclusion was received on all the investigated sources of the Skhidnytsia deposit. In 1976, Skhidnytsia was recognized as a resort, and the following year Omelyan Stotsky was awarded the Diploma of the discoverer of 38 Skhidnytsia springs.
