Allgäu Airport , a small passenger airport located in Upper Swabia, Allgäu region, three kilometers from Memmingen , or two kilometers from the A96 and A7 motorway junction … It can also be reached via the federal highways 300 and 312 via Memmingen , 110 km from Munich. Airport Memmingen is located north of the Allgäu, about 80 km from the Austrian states of Vorarlberg and Tyrol and about 100 km from Eastern Switzerland.

Terminal – “Picasso Hall”
Terminal Allgäu Airport was built in 1957-58. It is also called the Picasso Hall because of its self-supporting curved ceiling structure and characteristic support pillars. The terminal has a capacity of up to two million passengers per year.
Wi-Fi, charging station
In the terminal of Memmingen airport, all visitors and passengers can use free Wi-Fi without any time limit, with any Internet-enabled device, regardless of whether it is a smartphone, tablet or laptop. According to the flight schedule, the terminal is open at least 2 hours before the first departure until 1 hour after the last arrival. Subject to change.
Please note: For security reasons, it is prohibited to stay overnight in the terminal.

Gastronomy and shopping
Cafes are located both inside the airport and on the street. So in the middle you can have a bite to eat at the Campus Suite cafe, which is located in the public area of the terminal.
Drink Coffee Fellows in the EG and OG Gate 4 security area (after passport control) and Snack & Fly in the security area Gate 3 EG & Gate 5/6 OG (after passport control).
And outside the outside area at the entrance to the terminal is the Imbiss Gate34 snack bar, Coffee Fellows Express in the car rental center opposite the terminal and the Biergarten beer garden in the public area near the terminal.
Regardless of the airline, all customers, except carry-on baggage, are allowed to take on board a large duty-free shopping bag free of charge.
Buses stop near the airport. If you leave the airport, on the left side there will be a bus stop next to the city Memmingen and which stops at the railway station. Other buses stop on the right side of the exit. The Allgäu Airport Express buses run several times a day between Munich Central Station and the terminal. The schedule can be viewed at website. The cost of a ticket online is 15 euros for an adult, 8 euros for children (children from 3 to 12 years old), if you pay in cash on the bus the cost is 20 and 12 euros, respectively. Drive to Munich 1.2 hours.
Flixbus connects Memmingen Airport to numerous points in Germany and Europe such as Munich, St. Gallen, Nuremberg and Zurich.
