This route will help you spend your time efficiently and see the most interesting places in Munich!
Our trip from Nuremberg to Munich lasted one day and had a specific purpose: to submit documents and have time to see the most interesting places. Such a route can be easily adapted from any city in Germany, and if desired, it can be extended by one more day to fully enjoy the atmosphere of Munich.
Day 1
Morning: Departure from Nuremberg
Recommended departure time: 7:00-8:00. This will allow you to arrive in Munich around 9:00 AM. It is convenient to use ICE (Intercity-Express) or IC (Intercity) high-speed trains to travel from Nuremberg to Munich. They run regularly and provide fast connections between cities.
Travel time is approximately 1 hour. 10 min. for ICE and slightly longer for IC. Tickets can be purchased in advance on Deutsche Bahn or through the DB mobile app, where you can also find out the exact schedule and price for a specific date.

Travel time is approximately 2-2.5 hours (depending on the train and the number of stops). Interval, every 1-2 hours. Tickets for regional trains are cheaper, and you can also use a monthly pass for 49 euros.
Breakfast: You can have breakfast on the train, or after arriving in Munich in one of the cafes at the station, for example, Rischart – a local bakery with a large selection of pastries.

A walk through the historical center

Karlsplatz (Stachus) (10 minutes from the station)
It is a lively square that connects the train station with the pedestrian zone of Munich. On the square are located:

This is the main square of Munich, where many important events of the city take place. Marienplatz is an ideal place for walking and taking pictures, with many cafes and shops nearby.
- New Town Hall (Neues Rathaus): An impressive building in the Gothic style. The famous chiming clock sounds here every day at 11:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., and in summer at 5:00 p.m. It consists of 32 figurines that recreate scenes from the history of Bavaria, making this show a special moment for visitors.

Visit the Antiquarium – a Renaissance banqueting hall, the Treasury with the jewels of the royal family and the Théâtre Cuvillier, designed in the Rococo style.

Hofbräuhaus München (Innere Wiener Straße 19) – one of the most famous beer halls in the world, founded in 1589. Here you can enjoy classic dishes such as pork knuckle, sausages and sauerkraut, while enjoying live music in a Bavarian style. An interesting Hofbreuhaus tour with stories and anecdotes and one beer.
Augustiner Bräustuben (Landsberger Straße 19) – a popular local restaurant with a less touristy atmosphere that also serves traditional Bavarian food. It is known for its quality Augustiner beer and warm service.

Day 2
Breakfast. Have breakfast at a hotel or a cafe, for example Cafe Frischhut, where you can taste the famous Munich donuts – schmaltznüdel.
Visit to the BMW Museum and the Olympic Park
After breakfast, head to the BMW Museum where you can learn about the history of this famous car brand. The Olympic Park is located nearby, where it is interesting to take a walk while enjoying the modern architecture.

Lunch
Next to the palace is the restaurant Schlosscafé im Palmenhaus, where you can taste traditional Bavarian dishes.
Leave time for shopping or strolling along the main shopping streets, such as Maximilianstraße where the Museum of the Five Continents is located. near the station there are a number of shopping centers where you can go shopping or have a bite to eat. one such shopping center Stachus Passagen is an underground shopping complex located under Karlsplatz (Stachus). It is conveniently located near major transport hubs, including the metro station. Stachus Passagen offers a variety of shops, from fashion to electronics, as well as numerous cafes and restaurants. It is a convenient place for shopping, especially in rainy weather.

Return to Nuremberg
After dinner, head back to Nuremberg between 18:00 and 19:00 is recommended to return in time and be able to finish the trip comfortably.
