Picturesque Zakopane is home to several excellent ski resorts, making this region an ideal place for winter recreation and skiing or snowboarding.
Hubaluvka (1120 m).
Gubalowka is famous for its funicular, whose lower station is almost in the very center of Zakopane. With 6 pistes suitable for both experienced and beginners, Gubalowka offers all kinds of fun on the slopes. A half pipe for snowboarders adds excitement and challenge to the atmosphere.
Kaspriv Verkh, the highest ski complex in Poland. Advanced skiers and snowboarders come here to test the high level of difficulty of the tracks. Three cable cars will take you to the top of the mountain, where challenging tracks for professionals await you. Ride along the longest track 9 km long with a height difference of 940 m.
The Polyana Shimoshkov ski complex, located on the southern slope of the Gubaluvka ridge, offers wide and varied slopes for skiing. There are tracks for beginners and experienced skiers. The maximum height difference is 280 m, and the length of the slope is more than 1950 m.

Get to Zakopane.
There are several convenient ways to get there, depending on your departure point.
From Krakow.
If you are coming from Krakow, the most convenient way is the Krakow – Zakopane train. From the airport, you need to get to Kraków Main station, from where there are express trains going to Zakopane. The journey will take approximately 4 hours and the ticket costs PLN 26. There are also bus routes from the same station that take less time and cost around 20 PLN.
From Warsaw and Bratislava.
If you are coming from Warsaw or Bratislava, it will be most convenient to use a bus or train. Thanks to a well-developed public transport network, you can easily get to Zakopane with convenience and at a reasonable price.
From Poprad.
The nearest airport in Slovak Poprad is Poprad-Tatry, located 70 km from Zakopane. Poprad is easily accessible by bus, which takes about 2 hours and costs PLN 30.
