Muzeum Krakowa
One of the most interesting in Poland and consists of as many as 16 sections. This museum also includes the town hall and defensive walls of the city, which testify to its grandeur and rich historical heritage. In addition, it covers one of the most popular places in Krakow – the Schindler Factory, which now functions as a museum of the German occupation of the city.
And here’s great news for visitors: despite their popularity among tourists, these museums open their doors for free once a week. Please note that in some cases you may need to pre-book your visit, but this is a great opportunity to experience the cultural wealth of Krakow without spending a lot of money.

Zamek Krоlewski na Wawelu
Wawel Castle is a historical fortress located in the center of Krakow. This majestic complex includes the Royal Palace, St. Stanislaus Cathedral and Wawel Cathedral. Wawel Castle stands on a hill above the Vistula River and is a symbol of Polish national culture and history. It is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Muzeum Narodowe w Krakowie
It is the oldest museum in Poland, founded in 1879. The museum has various departments where visitors can view unique old prints, manuscripts, paintings and graphics. The museum collection includes valuable works of art not only from Poland, but also from other countries of the world.
Most departments of the National Museum in Krakow are open to the public for free on Tuesdays.

Muzeum Archeologiczne w Krakowie
The museum is divided into three departments, where visitors can familiarize themselves with unique collections. You can visit these exhibitions for free on certain days:
- The main building (address: ul. Senacka 3) welcomes visitors for free on Tuesdays for permanent exhibitions.
- The Nova Huta branch (address: ul. Sasanek 2A) is available for free on Mondays, and it should be noted that the park here is always free to visit.
- The earthquake of the church of St. Wojciech (address: Rynek Główny 2) is open for free visits on Tuesdays, except in the winter months when it is closed.

Kopiec Kościuszki
The mound is located on al. Waszyngtona 1, was created in the first half of the 19th century and poured in honor of the outstanding Polish national hero Tadeusz Kosciuszko.
There is a museum on the territory of the mound, which is available for free visits only three times a year on the following dates:
- February 4 – Tadeusz Kostyushka’s birthday;
- March 24 – the day of his swearing-in at the Krakow market;
- November 15 – the day of his death.
This is a unique opportunity for visitors to see the legacy and honor the memory of an outstanding hero of Polish history.

Muzeum Etnograficzne w Krakowie
The museum is located at pl. Wolnica 1, is famous for its impressive collection of over 8,000 exhibits. It features a variety of artifacts, including costumes, artwork, household items, and more. The museum impresses with its diversity, as in the exposition you can find not only elements of the history of Polish folk life, but also interesting objects from other countries of Europe and the world.
For those who want to visit the museum for free, there is good news: on Tuesdays, the museum exhibits are available for viewing for free. However, if you plan to come with a group of more than 10 people, it is recommended to make a reservation in advance.

Museum of Modern Art in Krakow (MOCAK)
Located in the former building of the Schindler Factory at ul. Lipowa 4. Opened in 2011, this museum serves as a platform for the presentation of mostly contemporary art works created over the past two decades.
MOCAK ensures not only the collection and preservation of new collections, but also actively promotes the development of culture and art. The museum creates an environment for experiments and open dialogues, contributing to the expansion of the boundaries of modern art.
